There is more than one type of depression. Dealing with depression can be a daunting task, using hypnotherapy, medication, sedatives (natural and synthetic), counseling and much more.
Straight to the point:
Fatigue – Periods of unrest where your body reaches its burnout state regardless of whether you are taking it easy or not. You feel tired and have no energy to do anything whatsoever.
Concentration – Short attention spans and the lack of concentration can also be caused by running thoughts or an uneasy anxiety episode
Anxiety – Some say anxiety is a condition on its own, but LOAN believes it is all related. Anxiety can be easily triggered and can have serious effects once it is. These effects include headaches, nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness, dry mouth, and slight fits.
Appetite – Appetite plays a big role in the diagnosis of depression. You will either feel extremely hungry (cravings) or extremely nauseated and not able to down a small sip of water. Back to the cravings we mentioned, this mostly includes salty and fatty foods which release dopamine.
An excessive amount of sleep – This shows that you are slowly losing the will to live. Yes, I had to put that bluntly. Excessive sleep indicates that you do not want to face the outer world and rather be an introvert and sleep instead of facing your thoughts and situations.
No Motivation – Having no motivation shows that you are quite depressed. In life, there are always things to motivate you and not being depressed allows you to find those things, if you do not, this shows signs of depression.
